Smallholder organisations produce a wide variety of high-quality products, from cocoa, coffee and spices, to shea butter and cashmere. These products may be of interest to your company.
Sustainable sourcing allows your company to obtain raw materials from responsible suppliers. The products and the partnership meet a certain number of criteria, such as respect for the environment, transparency and fair prices.
AVSF identifies and puts you in contact with smallholder organisations around the world that can supply you with raw materials or certain high-quality derivative products. AVSF is with you every step of the way to ensure secure, effective and high-quality sourcing. One essential condition is required: the desire to establish a long-term business relationship, and fair remuneration for producers.

Valrhona and Haitian cocoa
Thanks to AVSF’s technical and financial support, the FECCANO union of cooperatives was able to regenerate its members’ plots of cocoa trees in order to make them more productive, and supply organic cocoa with a unique flavour to Valrhona.
Ethiquable and Madagascan spices
With support from AVSF and in partnership with Ethiquable, the cooperatives set up a workshop for processing and treating spices to ensure their quality and capture the added value generated through those processes, further strengthening the long-term commercial partnership with Ethiquable.

An NGO working closely with smallholder organisations
With over 45 years of experience in sustainable farming and fair trade, AVSF works with smallholder organisations to help them transition to agroecology so that they can upscale their high-quality products. Our organisation also provides them with organisational, administrative and financial support. The goal is to help producers’ organisations become fully autonomous and enable them to negotiate directly with their customers.
